iOS · Coming soon to the App Store
Never miss a bill due date.
Snap a photo of any bill. Snap a Bill reads the vendor, amount and due date right on your iPhone, reminds you before it's due, and keeps every bill sorted by property — without your data ever reaching us.

How it works
From paper pile to paid, in four steps.
-
Snap or import
Photograph a paper bill — multi-page works too — or pick a PDF or image from your files. Prefer typing? Manual entry is always one tap away.
-
Confirm the autofill
The app reads the vendor, amount, issue date and due date on your device and fills in the form. Anything it isn't sure about gets flagged so you can double-check before saving.
-
Get reminded
Choose how many days ahead you want a heads-up — from 1 to 90 — and turn on overdue alerts if you want a nudge after the fact. Reminders are local notifications; no server involved.
-
Export at tax time Pro
Filter, mark bills paid, and export everything as CSV for your spreadsheet or PDF for your accountant — with every bill tagged by property and category.
What you get
Everything the shoebox of bills does — minus the shoebox.
On-device scanning
Apple's Vision text recognition reads photos and PDFs directly on your iPhone. On newer devices, Apple Intelligence sharpens the extraction — still entirely on-device.
Due-date reminders
Pick a lead time from 1 to 90 days and get notified before each bill is due, plus optional overdue alerts for the ones that slip past.
Sort by property Pro
Tag every bill with a property and a category — utilities, property tax, insurance, maintenance and more — so each rental's paper trail stays untangled.
CSV & PDF export Pro
One tap exports your bills as a CSV that opens in Excel or a print-ready PDF — handy for your accountant, your records, or your backup.
Private by design
No account, no sign-in, no servers of ours — we never receive your bill images or their contents. Bills, photos and records are stored on your device. Backups stay under your control: if your device backs up with Apple's iCloud Backup, they're included through your own Apple Account. Nothing to breach, nothing to sell.
Works offline
Scanning, reminders, editing and export all work without an internet connection — in the basement, in the barn, on the plane.
For Canadian landlords
Built for rental tax season.
The CRA expects rental expense records to be kept for six years — and come tax time, form T776 wants those utility, insurance, property-tax and repair bills sorted per property.
Snap a Bill keeps that paper trail as you go: snap each bill when it arrives, tag it to the right rental, and export a clean CSV or PDF for your accountant in the spring. No more shoebox archaeology in April.
Pro includes the multi-property tools: unlimited properties, bills grouped by rental, payment records, CSV and PDF exports, and unlimited paid history.
Free vs Pro
Free runs your home. Pro runs your properties.
One home only needs one thing: don't forget the hydro bill. A landlord's job is different — don't lose control across properties. Pro is built for that: scale, organization, and proof.
Built for one home
Snap the bill, confirm the due date the app reads, get reminded before it's due. Up to 10 active bills, one property, 30 days of paid history — everything a household needs, free.
Built for landlords
Unlimited bills and properties, every bill grouped by rental, smart reminders, payment records, CSV & PDF export, and paid history that never expires — control across the whole portfolio.

Your bills never reach us.
Snap a Bill keeps your bills, photos and records on your device — there's no account to create, and we never receive your bill images or their contents. If your device backs up with Apple's iCloud Backup, the app's data may be included in that backup through your own Apple Account; we have no access to it. Aside from routine app-update checks that carry none of your content, the only data the app sends is limited diagnostics — crash reports plus a one-time record of the onboarding answers you picked — with no bill data and not linked to your identity, and you can switch it off in Settings.
